A Via Ferrata course for all those who either want to finally learn via ferrata properly or who want to improve what they have already learned and correct it if necessary. During these days, your mountain guide will show you everything that is correct and important when going Via Ferrata!!
Meeting point is in Arco. Overnight stay is not included, but can be organized by us!
The course includes everything that is important: basic via ferrata techniques, rescue techniques, meteorology and tour planning. We go on various via ferratas to practise what we have learned – an exciting mix of theory and practice.
The minimum number of participants required for a course to take place is 4. In a group, there is a maximum of 8 participants per mountain guide.
Depending on availability and free capacity, individual appointments can also be arranged for groups of 4 or more participants!
The via ferrata “Via Ferrata delle Bocchette” (also known as the Schartenweg) in the Brenta Group is certainly one of the most beautiful, exciting and panoramic via ferratas in Europe. The Brenta Group is undoubtedly one of the best mountain groups in the entire Alpine region with iron ladders. This high-altitude trail is a unique panoramic route and runs between the Grostè Pass and the XII Apostles hut at an average altitude of around 2500 to 2700 m – always sharply along the Brenta main ridge. The Bocchette trail is divided into individual sections over ridges and narrow ledges with breathtaking views.
4-Day tour: 444,- Euro per Person (overnight stays in the huts are not included – but we will be happy to organize this for you).
Our Meeting and starting Point is Madonna di Campiglio.
Day 1: take the cable car up to the Passo del Grostè, from where you can reach the start of the Sentiero Alfredo Benini at the foot of the Cima Grostè in just over an hour. This leads along the east side of the Cima Falkner on a sun-drenched and increasingly narrow band to the Cima Sella and then briefly changes to the west side before descending steeply over countless ladders to the Bocca di Tuckett. Now we follow the Brenta main ridge on the Sentiero Bocchette Alte in a fantastic up and down over exposed ladders and beautiful cross passages on the “Brenta bands” – a top-class Dolomite feeling! – southwards to the Rifugio Alimonta. This section is characterized by many long and sometimes extremely steep ladders, the highlights of which are the Scala degli Amici or Scala degli Die (Ladder of the Gods).
Day 2: the Via delle Bocchette Centrale, the famous ribbon via ferrata, leads directly into the heart of the Brenta with the impressive rock needle of the Campanile Basso. You will reach the Rifugio Pedrotti-Tosa via very narrow but easily passable ledges that divide the rock faces as if drawn with a ruler.
Day 3: On the third day, the Sentiero Brentari and Sentiero dell’Ideale are on the program. Both trails are among the oldest Brenta trails and represent the last part of the Brenta crossing, which is characterized above all by the two glaciers. The descent onto the d’Ambiez glacier and the start of the ascent to the Bocca d’Ambiez are among the most difficult sections of the entire Bocchette route due to the glacier retreat. At the Rifugio XII Apostoli we celebrate the successful crossing of the Brenta
Day 4: on the last day we set off on the scenic but long way back down to the valley!
Dates: 03. – 06. September (deliberately during the week, as the via ferrata is literally overrun at weekends)
Depending on availability and free (hut) capacities, dates can also be arranged individually for groups of 4 or more participants!
A bike technique course for all those who either want to finally learn mountain biking properly or who want to improve what they have already learned. During these days, your bike guide will show you everything that is correct and important when mountain biking off-road!
The course includes everything that is important for an off-road tour – an exciting mixture of theory and practice, as we deal intensively with trails, forest paths, scree, any obstacles and steep bends! Bike repairs and adjustments will also be demonstrated and tried out!
The minimum number of participants for a course to take place is 4. There is a maximum of 8 participants per bike guide in the group.
Depending on availability and free capacity, individual appointments can also be arranged for groups of 4 or more participants!
